Case description
A Rivesville, West Virginia, report describes a woman seeing an unusual object near her house while working in her kitchen. The Atlas inherits April 23,1965, but published sources variously give April 1964, April 25,1965, or February dates. One identifies the witness as Mrs. Frederick. The conflicting dates and uncertain original documentation prevent a precise chronology.
In the familiar version, a domed disc lowered a short central cylinder with a sliding door. A small figure emerged, apparently linked to the main object by a cable, and collected something from the ground. Pointed ears and a tail-like feature were mentioned, although the face was unclear. Clothing is white in some accounts and dark in others. The figure re-entered the cylinder, which retracted; the object's rim reportedly rotated before a vertical departure.
A trace catalogue adds a circular impression and small footprints, but its inclusion does not prove an investigator examined them. The source comparison reproduces Project Blue Book cards evaluated as conflicting data and psychological, rather than unexplained. Those historical administrative labels are not a medical diagnosis established here. Later references that call the case an Air Force unknown omit a material qualification. The plate consequently treats the familiar scene as a disputed report, with its date and description differences explicit.
