On the evening of July 26, 1965, Adilson Batista Azevedo and two friends were walking to a cinema on the outskirts of Carazinho. The SBEDV account says the others fled from a descending light and buzzing sound. Azevedo stayed, then hid behind an old well as two oval objects hovered over the waste ground.
The fuller report makes the first craft five or six metres long and the second two or three, rather than two identical three-metre discs. Two figures emerged from one and three from the other. They wore dark one-piece clothing, boots and luminous helmets, with a darker strip from the nose area towards the chest. One carried a brilliant wand-like object. They gestured and spoke among themselves in an unfamiliar, sibilant language.
The groups reportedly circled and inspected their respective craft before entering through the undersides. The objects departed rapidly. Azevedo joined his friends at the cinema but left with a severe headache, reportedly lasting five days despite treatment.
Published versions vary in the boy’s age, name spelling and the figures’ height: SBEDV gives about 1.5 metres, while a newspaper gave nearly two. “Repair” remains an interpretation of their inspection, not a demonstrated mechanical fault.
Preserve name/age/height variants and unequal craft sizes. Two friends fled before the occupant phase; they are not three independent witnesses to all details. Repair activity and medical mechanism remain interpretations.
