Case description
A brief newspaper item from Caracas in August 1965 described a farm labourer seeing a mysterious round object on his corn plot. Three strange beings allegedly emerged. When he began approaching, they were said to be drawn rapidly back into the object, which departed immediately. The report also claimed a circular scorched area about forty yards wide.
Gordon Creighton cited the night edition of London's Evening News for 6 August 1965. That is the report's publication or dateline, not necessarily the encounter date. Rosales places the event no later than 5 August, while Hatch dates it to 6 August. No precise time, named farmer, exact property or detailed creature description survives in the accessible source trail.
Later catalogues convert the story into a more definite landing with three occupants and ground traces, but the original brevity leaves important questions unanswered. The alleged scorch mark is approximately thirty-seven metres across if the newspaper's yards are retained; its presence was not independently verified in the reviewed material. No height, eyes, skin colour or clothing can be reconstructed. The plate therefore shows an anonymous farmer, three indeterminate forms and a partly obscured round object, with month-level dating. It does not import details from the unrelated Caracas bedroom reports of 1967.
