Nablus, Palestn being encounter — August 15, 1965

Vallée’s catalogue places this report at a farm near Nablus around two in the morning on August 15, 1965. An unnamed guard reportedly noticed a fast-moving, boatlike object with red flames along its sides. It circled and passed low over the farm, frightening him sufficiently that he fired his rifle. That is essentially the sequence preserved in the earliest consulted summary, which cites Flying Saucer Review 12/1. It does not describe a landing, a spoken exchange, a recovered object or an effect of the gunfire. The comparison with a boat concerns the reported appearance, without establishing a conventional vessel or a particular aircraft design. The Atlas includes figures, but Patrick Gross’s source comparison found an occupant silhouette only in a much later catalogue summary, not in Vallée’s account. Its presence should therefore remain an uncertain later detail. The witness’s identity, observation distance and precise shape are not established in the available documentation. The record preserves a brief nocturnal flight report and an alleged armed reaction, with the occupant claim kept separate from the earlier published sequence.
