Case description
Casimiro Zuk was cycling home through the San José colony near Apóstoles around one in the morning on 23 August 1965 when he reportedly noticed a bright light near the General Urquiza railway. El Territorio’s contemporary report described an elongated, roughly five-metre vehicle, window-like openings and a normally proportioned person in a luminous overall. The figure walked briefly before the object departed with a roaring sound.
Researcher Roberto Banchs later interviewed Zuk and inspected the location. Zuk then stressed that glare and distance had prevented him from seeing a definite vehicle shape or the person’s face. He described a visor-like projection, an ordinary person in overalls and a light moving along the railway direction. He also clarified that he had not actually watched the figure descend from a craft. No physical traces or additional witnesses were identified.
Banchs compared the sight line, railway platform shelter, engine sounds and train timetables, proposing a railway vehicle and worker as an explanation. A surviving timetable could not establish the exact train movement that night, so this remains a reasoned interpretation rather than demonstrated identification. The plate represents Zuk’s restricted view of light, shelter and person; it avoids turning the press description into a detailed alien saucer.
