Case description
A Peruvian report dated September 1, 1965, describes an encounter at a private estate airstrip in the Huánuco area around five in the morning. An unnamed man reportedly felt drawn toward the strip and saw an oval object land. A very short occupant emerged. Later summaries give the figure’s height as approximately eighty-five centimetres and describe a head twice the size of a human head.
The figure made gestures as though trying to communicate, but their meaning was unintelligible to the witness. The occupant returned to the vehicle, lights appeared, and the object rose vertically before departing westward. Some catalogue versions add that four other people saw the object, but they are not presented as independently interviewed close-range witnesses to the same figure. The record supplies little dependable information about its eyes, complexion, clothing or the vehicle’s construction.
The source chain runs through a November 1965 letter cited by Gordon Creighton and a Peruvian newspaper report, then later compilations. It is not a located direct interview transcript. One important transcription trap is the abbreviation for an attempt to communicate: the imported wording can be misread as referring to a commercial aircraft. No commercial airliner belongs in the reported sequence. This is a brief, indirectly transmitted occupant allegation with an anonymous principal witness, rather than a detailed corroborated airport incident.
