Sao Joao, Brz being encounter — September 10, 1965

At about 8:30 a.m. on September 10, 1965, Antônio Pau Ferro reported an unusual event while working his small plot near São João, Pernambuco. He heard a rushing or whistling sound and saw two luminous circular objects descend nearby. Fuller SBEDV-derived accounts estimate them at about 1.5 metres wide; after coming close to the ground, they rose again, leaving two small figures below. The beings were described as only seventy to eighty centimetres tall, with adult, humanlike proportions, beardless faces, normal-looking eyes and smooth reddish-brown, wax-like complexions. They approached, withdrew when Ferro appeared frightened, then returned more gently. One examined a tomato plant, picked a fruit and showed it to the other while they spoke in an unfamiliar language. They allegedly smiled but did not answer his questions. Each stood beneath an object, which descended around it before both departed in coordinated motion. Dr. Walter Bühler later investigated for SBEDV. Neighbors reportedly heard the noise, but no additional witness to the figures was established. Craft count, dimensions and hovering height vary in condensed versions, and the witness supplied little clothing detail. The account should preserve its two tiny, ordinarily proportioned occupants rather than turning them into large-headed gray aliens or treating the sound witnesses as observers of the whole event.
