At about 9:30 p.m. on April 7, 1966, six young people were gathered in a park shelter when they reportedly heard footsteps on its roof. Some went outside to investigate while others remained inside. The group described unusual lights in a field and a very tall humanlike figure near the shelter. The catalogue compresses the figure’s estimated height to about 2.2 metres and places one appearance on the roof. As the young people moved back toward their cars, a buzzing sound intensified and several low lights were seen in the sky. The witnesses compared four objects with footballs bearing domes. They said their vehicle was difficult to start or operate and that a white light followed as they left.
