Near Randlett, OK being encounter — April 22, 1966

The imported record places this encounter near Randlett, Oklahoma, at about 2:30 a.m. on April 22, 1966. It describes a large saucer moving back and forth over Interstate 35, illuminating the surrounding area. Four apparently human occupants were reportedly visible through an opening or transparent section. An ozone-like smell accompanied the observation. The compact entry gives two observers plus children, but does not name them or provide their own statements. A later chronological compilation lists the Randlett incident as involving two teenagers. Immediately before it, the same compilation describes a different, much fuller encounter near Thackerville that night: psychologist Eula Page, a friend and two children reportedly watched a luminous object after crossing the Red River. That account includes four occupants, hot wind and an electrical odor. The similarities are striking, but the differing locations and witness groups do not establish that these are the same event. The Randlett entry should therefore retain its own limited sequence rather than acquire Page's name, her daughter's description of the occupants, or the other encounter's detailed craft structure. The Atlas ledger cites Frank Salisbury's The Utah UFO Display, page 22; the later compilation attributes its short Randlett entry to Larry Hatch. Until those source relationships are resolved, the exact witness count, locality and connection to the better-described Page report remain uncertain.
