The Hatch catalogue places a silent disc observation on farmland northeast of Bergen, North Dakota, during June 1966, around 9 p.m. Its fuller timeline gives 27 June with an approximate-date qualification. The object reportedly descended near a farm, at a distance estimated around one hundred metres from the observer or observers. It was described as saucer-shaped and approximately eleven metres across. Within an illuminated dome, two humanlike figures appeared to move. The account then has the object rise and depart rapidly toward the northwest. No conversation, ground encounter or observed exit by the two figures is preserved. The brief description supplies neither their faces nor their clothing, and does not distinguish a landed object from one hovering immediately above the farm with enough precision to reconstruct support gear. Hatch attributes the material to Don Flickinger’s North Dakota UFO files, copied by Tom Tulien, rather than an accessible contemporary newspaper or named witness statement. The original case file was not recovered during this review. Database classifications alone cannot establish a military or nuclear-site connection. The useful retained sequence is the silent descent, apparent movement inside the lit dome, and departure; finer vehicle and occupant details remain unknown.
