Case description
This Danish account concerns Jesper Andersen, a seven-year-old boy at Sjællands Odde. The imported record is dated April 1967, but the fuller chronology places the alleged encounter on January 18 and its newspaper coverage in April. Other children were initially present; the extended close observation is attributed principally to Jesper, watching from a ditch after the others ran away.
He described a grey object with retractable tripod supports. As it moved toward the Kattegat shore, it allegedly lowered a basket on a thick cable. Eight small, broadly humanlike occupants were said to be inside. Their reported details included long faces and noses, caps, striped clothing on seven figures, a blue outfit on another, and equipment interpreted as transparent backpacks with hoses and shoulder lights. They reportedly waved.
Material connected with the episode was later identified as ordinary hardened clay, with a local explanation for its presence. It should not be presented as recovered extraterrestrial material. The plate brings the boy, suspended basket, occupants and craft into one reconstruction; the caption uses only the year to avoid presenting the imported month as a settled encounter date.
