Near Ponte Da Barca, Portugal being encounter — July 1967

During the summer of 1967, usually cataloged as July, a farmer at Oleiros Monte near Ponte da Barca reportedly noticed a low, silent balloon-like object while working in cultivated land. It showed changing yellow, green and red lights. His two daughters were separately watching sheep and goats on a nearby hillside around 7 p.m. The girls said the animals became frightened. Initially suspecting a snake, they instead saw two small figures approximately 30–40 meters away. Both were described as less than a meter tall, with large heads, short limbs and bright silvery clothing covering their bodies. The figures reportedly crossed a low stone wall by jumping with both feet together. The daughters fled and told their father, who went to the area but found no remaining figures. Portuguese compilations preserve the father’s object observation alongside the daughters’ encounter, but do not establish that all three witnessed the same elements simultaneously. No boarding or direct movement between the figures and the luminous object was reported. Some later summaries differ over the object’s speed, and exact witness identities, ages and anatomical detail remain absent. The plate is consequently labeled as a composite of separate witness phases rather than a single documented shared view.
