Caracas, Vnzl being encounter — August 6, 1967

Pedro Riera reportedly awoke around 2 a.m. in Caracas's San Bernardino district when his bed was shaken. A small being with a disproportionately large head stood nearby, wearing what he described as a rubber-like suit. The fuller APRO-derived account dates this to 7 August 1967, whereas Hatch gives 6 August. Riera said he got out of bed and attempted to seize the visitor. It wriggled free and went through a second-floor window. Looking outside, he then saw a round object illuminated in several colours. Its brilliance forced him to close his eyes. That sequence places the outside object after the bedroom encounter; it does not describe the visitor entering the object in view of the witness. The next morning he reportedly found rust-like deposits on the pavement beneath the balcony, with small footprints in the material. Several neighbours were said to have seen the aerial object, although the available summary does not identify them or establish that they saw the bedroom figure.
