Case description
At about 2:30 a.m. on September 8, 1967, Alicia Rivas Aguilar was preparing for bed in Caracas when she noticed a strange figure immediately outside her bedroom window. She was twenty-three, despite the imported shorthand calling her a girl. She said it gestured, but she became frightened, closed her eyes and screamed before obtaining a detailed view.
Her parents and brother-in-law responded and reportedly saw the figure leaving over neighboring roofs. Gumersindo Neiro, observing from his own window, described it pushing away from the sill and moving east as if lighter than air, with hands and feet directed backward. Witnesses described a yellow or bluish-yellow glow, silvery metallic clothing and shoulder details resembling epaulettes. No one provided a clear facial description. A smell compared with hot or melted iron was also reported.
The CUFOS HUMCAT entry identifies Horacio Gonzales Ganteaume’s APRO investigation and cites the Lorenzens’ published accounts. It describes a flying figure, not a visible spacecraft, and does not say Aguilar was taken anywhere. The imported abduction classification is therefore unsupported by the actual narrative. The illustration keeps the adult family indoors and presents the departing figure without inventing a saucer, a balloon apparatus or specific alien facial features.
