Case description

At about 3 a.m. on 12 October 1967, Jay Anderson of White Rocks, Utah, reportedly saw a strange figure standing in a doorway inside his home. HUMCAT places it during the night of 11–12 October, amid a period of other reported sightings in the Uintah Basin. That wider context explains why the domestic episode entered a UFO catalogue, but does not supply a spacecraft for Anderson's own observation. The figure was described as wearing a metallic-looking suit and giving off a luminous glow. When Anderson became aware of it, it turned and walked away. The imported catalogue adds that it passed through a closed door; the more restrained HUMCAT summary says only that it walked out after being discovered. No resolved face, body measurements, conversation, equipment or accompanying occupants appear in the consulted summary. The source trail leads to Joseph Junior Hicks's files and Frank Salisbury's The Utah UFO Display, with both men listed in HUMCAT's investigation field. The catalogue includes a physiological-effects tag, but the accessible account supplies no specific injury or medical documentation that can responsibly be expanded. The luminous figure and the closed-door variant remain reported claims. They do not establish a physical mechanism, an extraterrestrial identity or a witnessed connection with the other Uintah Basin sightings.
