Case description
Four hunters reportedly observed a very large elongated object near State Road 10 west of Welch, Oklahoma, at about 06:20 on 21 October 1967. The Hatch entry describes it as cylindrical or cigar-shaped, passing around treetop level rapidly and without an audible sound. Its length is estimated at about one hundred metres; the record does not explain how that estimate was obtained.
The most unusual additional claim is that figures could be seen moving at windows. No reliable count, height, clothing or facial description accompanies that statement. It consequently records an impression of occupants inside an object, rather than a close encounter with identifiable beings on the ground. The source provides no landing, direct exchange, pursuit, recovered material or subsequent physical-trace investigation.
Hatch cites the APRO Bulletin, but the exact original article was not recovered in the accessible source search. Other Oklahoma reports from the same date should not be substituted for this one merely because they concern elongated objects. The plate therefore follows the preserved four-hunter, treetop-cylinder description and keeps the window figures indistinct. The hunters’ appearances and viewing arrangement are contextual, while the reported size, speed and apparent occupants remain uncorroborated claims from a compressed historical catalogue.
