Case description
A short account places Mr and Mrs Pealon in a car near Pierre-Buffière, Haute-Vienne, on 6 December 1967. The imported record gives about 7 a.m.; Rosales’s fuller entry gives approximately 6 a.m. The couple reportedly saw a small figure beside the road, estimated at around 1.1 metres in height.
Its outfit was compared with the inflated, segmented appearance of the Michelin mascot, while its head looked globular or helmetlike. It seemed to slide down an embankment without ordinary walking, apparently floating above the ground. The figure raised a hand twice and then disappeared from sight. No words, approach to the car, physical contact or flying vehicle appear in the accessible sequence. The gestures were observed, but their intended meaning is unknown.
Rosales cites Lumières dans la Nuit 195. Michael Swords also includes the report in his review of similar “Michelin” descriptions, noting the absence of a craft and uncertainty over when the account first became public. The original witness statement and a detailed investigation were not recovered here. The comparison concerns the reported suit silhouette, not a demonstrated biological body type. Facial features, colour, propulsion and what happened beyond the embankment remain unspecified.
