Case description
A short account dated January 6, 1968, describes a night security officer encountering an unusual object while making his rounds in Milan, Italy. He reportedly found a flat, pancake-shaped craft resting in a courtyard. Its upper section had a transparent dome, with a circular railing around it. The catalogue places the observation around 11 p.m.; the accessible fuller summary states only night.
Two human-like figures were beside the object, wearing blue coveralls, black helmets and black gloves. Another figure moved inside the dome. The officer interpreted the outside figures’ activity as repair work and approached, apparently intending to offer help. When he shone his flashlight toward the object, the two figures hurried inside. The craft then reportedly emitted a brilliant flash and took off.
The retelling credits Maurizio Verga’s ITACAT catalogue, also cited in the Atlas provenance. It does not provide the guard’s name, an exact courtyard address, a clear facial description, measured dimensions or independently examined physical evidence. Those omissions limit how precisely the scene can be reconstructed. The plate preserves the blue work clothing, dark helmets, two outside figures and third occupant, but does not invent alien facial anatomy or visible technical machinery to explain the supposed repair.
