Case description
The Keats Island entry combines repeated aerial observations with unusual visitors to an isolated cabin in 1968. John Keel's account says the unnamed woman had moved into the one-room cabin in October 1967 and thereafter noticed lights at night. Following an observation of a long dark body with dim red and yellow lights, she reportedly received two visitors on January 29, 1968. The imported January 27 date differs from that chronology.
The men wore exceptionally neat dark coveralls and claimed to work for the hydroelectric company. They helped install a stovepipe: the younger man worked on the roof while the older one directed him from below. Afterward they joined her for tea. She found their stiffness and careful movements odd and wondered how they knew she occupied a cabin invisible from the road. A separate May 2 meeting involved the older man and a different young companion; on the following day, other utility workers reportedly denied that those visitors belonged to their company.
Keel cites Canadian UFO Report 13 for the story. Neither suspicious employment claims nor proximity in time establishes that the men were nonhuman or arrived in a UFO. No boarding or simultaneous craft–visitor encounter was described. The plate is explicitly a composite, placing an earlier aerial form behind the later stovepipe visit for context; its characters, cabin and detailed vehicle outline are representative.
