Case description
In January 1968, at about 11 p.m., Argentine professor Axel Aberg Cobo reportedly walked along the beach at Torres, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The HUMCAT account says a silver-colored luminous object emerged from the ocean approximately twenty-five yards away and that he felt unable to move. Some summaries suggest 25 January, while the imported catalogue retains only the month; a precise day cannot be treated as settled here.
The detailed account describes two men over six feet tall, appearing crystalline or glasslike, who approached with stiff movements and without bending their knees. Cobo believed they communicated telepathically. A shoulder-touching greeting was reported, and one introduced himself with a name transcribed as Hubinako. Cobo said he wrote unfamiliar words on his bare arms and legs with a ballpoint pen. The visitors allegedly promised a later meeting in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and he vaguely recalled the object rising vertically.
HUMCAT cites Flying Saucer Review XIV(6), which in turn refers to La Razón of 22 July. The catalogue's count of three figures conflicts with the fuller two-man version. The apparent paralysis, telepathy and unusual material are elements of Cobo's account, not independently established physical findings. Neither a definite craft structure nor an authenticated extraterrestrial language follows from the report, and the illustration preserves those limits.
