Carlos Paz, Arg being encounter — June 14, 1968

Around 1 a.m. on 14 June 1968, motel owner Pedro Pretzel returned toward La Cuesta, beside Route 20 at Villa Carlos Paz, and reported two unusually intense red lights near the property. He found the entrance open and his nineteen-year-old daughter Maria Elodia unconscious. Her subsequent account concerned a separate indoor encounter, not a sighting of a clearly described spacecraft beside her. Maria said that after guests departed she noticed strong light in the hallway and found a blond, human-looking man over two metres tall. His hair was combed back and he wore a close-fitting sky-blue, diver-like outfit. In his left hand was a luminous pale-blue or crystal sphere; a large ring or gauntlet covered part of the right hand. She described light at his fingertips, weakness as he gestured, unfamiliar speech and an apparent mental reassurance. The sphere extinguished, the visitor turned and the door seemed to open for him as he left. Maria then lost recall until her father’s arrival. Versions differ on timing, speech and the detailed sequence of faintness. Later radiation claims lack documented measurements in the account and should not be presented as established evidence. The plate labels its combination of daughter, visitor and father’s separate red-light observation, leaving the outside object’s hull undefined.
