Case description
The Atlas places this report at El Choro, Bolivia, on June 19, 1968, around 23:00. Early summaries give a simple sequence: a bright object landed, a tall slender being emerged and approached a witness, who fainted. Vallée's Magonia 910 instead names Rómulo Velasco, 25, at Cabrería, labelled Argentina. The changing place and name require attention rather than a single confident location.
A later HUMCAT corrigendum locates the case at Poopó in Oruro, Bolivia, calls the witness Rómulo Velasquez, a 25-year-old miner, and expressly withdraws an earlier Argentina correction. It adds that he felt drawn toward the figure, which took his right wrist before he lost consciousness. Neighbors, including police, reportedly watched a low object illuminating the settlement before it rose with blue rays. Burnt grass was also reported.
The corrigendum says Velasquez was found with one-sided paralysis attributed to a stroke and cerebral hemorrhage; no medical record was retrieved to verify that account or link its cause to an object. Its sources are June 1968 press-agency dispatches and newspapers. This must also remain separate from a June 16 El Choro police sighting listed as Magonia 909, which describes a blue object and burnt vegetation but no being. The plate follows the June 19 core scene with deliberately indistinct anatomy and regional, month-level titling.
