Case description
Night watchman Daildo de Oliveira reported an encounter at the CESP electrical substation in Bauru around 1 a.m. on July 23, 1968. In a December interview with SBEDV, he said he had worked there only fifteen days. After recording a patrol checkpoint he noticed a figure outside, then another at an office window, and assumed they were intruders.
Oliveira fetched a short conduit and attempted to strike the nearer man, who dodged and grappled with him. A second dark-clad, hooded figure joined the struggle. A third wore light clothing and had a pale face and short reddish hair. Oliveira described a prolonged physical confrontation in which they overpowered him, removed some clothing and eventually released him. He understood none of their speech. This differs substantially from the Atlas’s compressed probe-and-paralysis description.
Moving away, he heard something like a vehicle door and saw a dark object resembling a Volkswagen van, but with a base estimated around ten meters across. It rose with a strange noise and air pressure, maneuvered near a transformer and electrical lines, and departed toward Lins. Only then did he interpret the intruders as UFO occupants.
Another guard reportedly helped examine disturbed gravel and recover Oliveira’s belongings. Police and military inquiries were reported; no office property was said to be missing. These claims document the reported aftermath rather than proving an alien origin. The plate combines the figures and later vanlike object, with violence and undressing omitted.
