Case description
A young man using the pseudonym Miguel Costa reported an encounter near Sant Martí de Tous on September 11, 1968. In Antonio Ribera's account, reproduced in GEPA's Phénomènes Spatiaux, he was driving after a stop at Igualada when an orange glow among pine trees caught his attention. He stopped before the Tous junction and climbed the steep hillside above the road to investigate.
He described four small metallic-grey forms, each consisting of a smaller upper sphere joined to a larger lower sphere. They allegedly moved by extending the upper part upward and sideways, then drawing the lower part after it, accompanied by a low whistle. They proceeded toward a luminous reddish-orange dome and disappeared, probably beneath it; their actual boarding was not clearly observed. The larger object reportedly rose, leaned across the pine grove and accelerated away with multicolored light and an intense whistle.
Costa said he returned home pale and nervous. His wife's observation concerns that aftermath, not the encounter itself. The following day they reportedly found three ground marks and disturbed vegetation. The first account estimates forms forty to fifty centimetres high, a dome five metres high and a five-minute episode. Ballester Olmos's later catalogue instead gives eighty-centimetre forms, a five-by-three-metre object, eight minutes and different trace spacing. The ledger's 11:40 p.m. time also differs from later timings. The plate follows the early two-lobed description, with no invented eyes, limbs or humanoid suits.
