Case description
NICAP's preserved entry dates a report at Lima, Peru, to February 28, 1947, but its actual description is only three figures near a disc. The original linked case page was unavailable during this review. That sparse entry alone does not establish the witnesses' identities, a detailed sequence or the reliability of the exact date.
A later online chronology places an event six miles south of Lima and names its driver only as C.A.V. It describes a shiny sand-colored disc hovering several feet above the ground and three mummy-like figures emerging. Their joined-looking legs, mittenlike hands and largely featureless faces resemble the much fuller C.A.V. contact narrative elsewhere dated 1949 or 1952. The chronology's 1947 entry supplies no underlying source citation for that identification.
INTCAT attributes the better-known 1952 version to the Lorenzens and Richard Greenwell's investigation, noting that C.A.V. originally gave 1949 before revising his date. The Atlas already represents that account separately as UFO-7934. The present record therefore cannot be counted as independent corroboration or confidently merged with it. Claims of conversation and travel from the fuller contact story are not asserted as facts of this 1947 entry. The plate uses unresolved-date titling and explicitly contextual imagery drawn from the possible related account, while preserving the documentary uncertainty.
