Duque DE Caxias, Brz being encounter — September 1968

A woman identified confidentially as Mrs Kok reportedly awoke during a night in September 1968 and went to make coffee at her Duque de Caxias home. Seeing light in the backyard, she looked through a window. The HUMCAT account describes a courtyard approximately thirty by forty metres, enclosed by buildings two or three storeys high. Three men stood below a metallic object just above the surrounding roofs. They looked entirely human to the witness, surprising her because she assumed that people beneath such an object would appear different. One man faced away from her. Three separate bright beams descended onto them from a Saturn-shaped craft whose hemispherical underside rotated. A shrill noise reminded her of electronic music. Apparently noticing her at the window, the men rose through the light beams and disappeared into the underside. The object rotated faster, its sound increased, and it climbed vertically at a moderate speed. Irene Granchi investigated; HUMCAT identifies an interview dated 20 July 1969 and an unpublished investigator report supplied through Keith Basterfield. The fuller summary places the event after 1 a.m., whereas Hatch gives about 10 p.m. No exact September date is available. The interview's existence documents the report, not the physical reality of a levitation mechanism. The plate preserves three normal-looking men and three beams instead of substituting stereotyped greys.
