LA Llagosta, Sp being encounter — September 21, 1968

A lorry driver on the Barcelona–Puigcerdà road reportedly saw an unusually bright object near La Llagosta at about 2 a.m. on September 21, 1968. A catalogue published by the Barcelona research group CEI in Stendek places the observation close to the Prebetong factory, roughly two hundred metres outside the town. The object resembled an egg standing vertically on the ground. Beside it was a small being, but the surviving entry does not describe its face, skin, clothing or precise height. The driver did not stop to inspect it. Instead, he accelerated away and told personnel at a petrol station in La Llagosta what he had seen. That reported immediate disclosure is a distinct part of the sequence; it does not establish that the station workers independently saw the object. Stendek’s July 1971 special catalogue credits CEI, while Hatch also points to later book literature and Manuel Guasp. The brief descriptions agree on the upright ovoid, small figure and truck driver. They do not establish an observed takeoff, a conversation, a breakdown of the lorry or a physical trace. The nearby L’Escala fishing encounter on the same date involves different witnesses and should remain a separate record.
