Cedeira, Sp being encounter — September 24, 1968

A brief HUMCAT entry places this encounter near Cedeira, La Coruña, at about nine in the evening on September 24, 1968. The witness was a fifty-six-year-old woman traveling from the direction of Foneiro, also rendered Ponteiro in later retellings. She first noticed a bright light and afterward saw two very tall men approaching along the road. The remarkable detail was the changing illumination on their faces. The surviving summary describes lights of different colors rather than supplying unusual eyes, skin anatomy or a clearly resolved vehicle. Frightened, the woman ran to the nearest house. A sailor subsequently went to investigate but found nothing at the time. An investigator later reported an irregular burned patch approximately two meters across at the supposed site. The available catalogue gives no laboratory analysis or documented observation connecting that patch directly to the figures. HUMCAT cites DATA-NET and Flying Saucer Review Special Bulletin 4; the Atlas also preserves Ballester Olmos’s Iberian catalogue reference. The sequence remains a reported light, two humanlike figures and a subsequently attributed trace, without a witnessed taking, boarding or identified craft.
