Case description
Three crew members of a chartered cargo aircraft reportedly saw an object during a November 1968 flight from Coppermine toward Yellowknife. The encounter is placed around 2:30 a.m. The imported locality says 150 miles north of Yellowknife, while a fuller summary says west; the exact position and day remain uncertain.
The flight engineer first noticed a stationary pale-blue light. It allegedly approached within about a thousand feet and paced the aircraft for roughly five minutes. The object was described as a disc with a row of large rectangular windows. A dark form in a central window was interpreted as an occupant. The pilot and copilot also reportedly watched, and the crew relayed a report to Yellowknife air traffic control.
The source trail runs through Canadian UFO literature, including Musgrave’s catalogue and an account attributed to Holt for UFO Quebec. A silhouette does not supply a face, species or detailed anatomy. The plate shows all three crew and the windowed object with one unresolved form; the aircraft type, cockpit, apparent separation and mechanical details are illustrative.
