Case description
HUMCAT records several farmer encounters north of Baras, Rizal, on 1 November 1968. In the first, at about 4 a.m., a farmer saw a red light land roughly one hundred yards away with a hissing, welding-like sound. Taking a flashlight, he approached what looked like a white vehicle the size of a Volkswagen. It had small wheels, six large rear exhaust tubes and a transparent canopy containing two ordinary human-looking, light-skinned men in white coveralls and earphones.
As he approached, the object rolled away with a roar and then rose vertically, reportedly becoming silent. At about 6 a.m., another farmer walking in the area felt something land behind him and described a similar white object and two occupants. He fled and reported the experience to the mayor. In a third account, around 11 a.m., a farmer riding a bicycle encountered the object on a hillside. One very tall occupant stood outside while another remained inside; after pausing, the vehicle rolled uphill and ascended.
The HUMCAT entry attributes the investigation to Colonel Aderito de Leon and Colonel R. C. Santiago and cites APRO reporting. These are separate reported observations, not a single scene with all the farmers present. The occupants’ clothing and human appearance are described, but an extraterrestrial biological identity is not established. The plate depicts only the first farmer’s encounter.
