Case description
Several observations at Franois on December 12, 1968, were later condensed into a single catalogue entry. Hatch begins around 5:50 p.m., describing a roughly ten-metre disc following a car, coming down, and figures apparently occupied near it. A separate chronology gives about 6:04 p.m. for roadside figures visible near a light. The figures’ anatomy and precise number are not established in those summaries.
A later phase involved the Froidevaux family and other neighbours. Descriptions associated with a balcony photograph mention a bright white-yellow light increasing in apparent size, and Mr Froidevaux subsequently following it by car. Flying Saucer Review’s animal-reaction account places another observation at 7:10 p.m.: Froidevaux, his daughter, Mr Marchand and his wife saw an orange luminous cloud with a ribbon-like object leaving it. The family cat became increasingly distressed and quietened when the display ended.
These reports differ in time, witness totals and apparent shape. The cat’s reaction was observed at the house, not alongside the roadside figures. A photographic reproduction also carries a conflicting morning time in later online captions. The Atlas retains the native record while distinguishing these phases; neither the photograph nor the animal behaviour independently establishes that the distant figures were spacecraft occupants.
