Case description
A February 1969 report from Ñuble, Chile, describes a couple observing a luminous object descend onto a beach near their home. The imported ledger gives approximately 11 p.m. and two observers, while fuller catalogues place the event around 4 a.m. and some add the couple’s two daughters. Later compilations supply February 13, but that day is not consistent across the source chain.
The object was metallic, sky-blue and polygonal or octahedral, about five to six metres across, with a dome, windows, antenna-like projections and tripod supports. Three figures roughly two metres tall allegedly reached the beach along a beam of light. Their blue outfits covered hands and feet and carried metallic chest emblems. They inserted tubes into the sand and collected dark stones, then recovered the tubes and returned to the craft before it departed.
The account was transmitted through Elena Marino and LDLN 111 and subsequently summarized by several compilers. Reports of circular holes, missing sand and temporary skin changes vary substantially in dimensions and wording. They remain reported after-effects, rather than laboratory findings or demonstrated radiation injury. The illustration uses a month-only date and the shared beach-sampling sequence; no identity or origin of the figures is established.
