Case description
A truck driver and his assistant reportedly saw an unusual apparatus and five tall luminous figures near Miajadas, in Cáceres province, during the early hours of 28 February 1969. Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos’s catalogue dates the observation to about 02:45. The Atlas places it five minutes later, at 02:50; the available material does not justify resolving that small discrepancy more precisely.
The figures were described as apparently humanoid and associated with the object. Both witnesses became intensely frightened and drove away at speed. Ballester connects the time of their report with the earthquake that shook the Andalusian region that night. This is a claimed temporal coincidence, not evidence that the object caused the earthquake, and it does not relocate Miajadas from Extremadura into Andalusia.
The published entry credits Manuel Osuna and ABO but provides no witness names, vehicle dimensions, occupant clothing, facial details or measured height. It also gives no extended dialogue, close approach or physical trace investigation. Those omissions constrain the reconstruction: the men remain in their truck, looking toward five tall luminous humanlike forms and an indistinct object. Its structure is deliberately unresolved. The record preserves the reported encounter and fear-driven departure without expanding a very short catalogue entry into an unsupported detailed landing narrative.
