Case description
Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos included an approximate April 1969 report from Boñar, León, in his Spanish landing catalogue. The account concerns an unidentified shepherd from a neighbouring village who reportedly saw an object resembling an inverted plate at very low altitude during a spring afternoon. The Atlas assigns 4 p.m., but the fuller source does not establish a precise clock time or day.
Ballester explicitly states that the information was not obtained from the original witness. A popular version added a landing and an occupant, but he called that version probably inaccurate and said it remained unconfirmed. The Atlas’s compact reference to small humanoids therefore represents an uncertain extension of the story, not a secure description of several observed beings.
No identified shepherd, measured landing site, detailed occupant anatomy or independently examined trace material is supplied in the cited account. David G. López is credited in the reporting chain. The record is retained with those limits visible rather than expanded using details from unrelated Spanish encounters. Its plate is explicitly labelled as the unconfirmed landing-and-occupant version: the shepherd, simple low object and indistinct figure are contextual, and no particular alien type or facial design is asserted.
