Case description
A woman living near a place identified as Overton reportedly watched a light above marshy ground behind her house during June 1969, around 9:30 p.m. The Atlas locates Overton in Nova Scotia. INTCAT instead labels the event Saskatchewan, while citing the same John Brent Musgrave compilation. The original letter to APRO was not located to resolve that geographical conflict.
The woman allegedly distinguished a machine-like object with a surrounding rim. A solitary humanlike figure appeared to walk around that rim. In the fuller account she heard a continuous drumming sound and occasionally saw puffs resembling smoke. The light eventually rose into the sky. Hatch’s compressed description mentions upward beams, but provides no additional sequence or occupant details.
This remains a sparse report preserved through a later catalogue, not a detailed contemporary investigation recovered for this entry. Neither the figure’s facial features, height and clothing nor the object’s size and precise geometry are securely recorded. There is also no described conversation, close approach, retrieved material or independently examined landing trace. The reported activity should therefore not be expanded into a repair operation or an encounter with a specific alien type. The illustration uses a Canada-only title, an indistinct figure and approximate machinery while leaving the provincial identification openly disputed.
