An anonymous witness in Nancy reportedly observed small domed objects above the city on November 15, 1969, around 5:00 p.m. The Atlas summarizes four observers and three craft. Fuller versions concentrate on a woman looking from her apartment window while feeding pigeons; another catalogue version changes the principal witness to a man. These variations should remain visible rather than being silently reconciled.
The nearest object was described as a very small grey disc with a transparent dome and bright lights around or underneath it. Two tiny heads were visible within the dome, with pale faces, round eyes and broad mouths. The witness interpreted their expressions as friendly and reported an inner message recognizing the object as a flying saucer. Two other objects allegedly appeared, joined the first and departed toward the north or northwest. A strong acidlike odor, heat or tingling, subsequent swelling and a forehead mark occur in expanded retellings.
GPUN material, Éric Zurcher and Figuet and Ruchon form part of the publication trail. Researcher Raoul Robé later compared the narrative with the television episode The Invaders and proposed cultural influence or a memory-related explanation. That is an interpretation, not a documented confession or proof of fabrication. No medical record or original image was verified here. The plate illustrates the woman-at-window version without presenting the disputed details as settled.

FROM THE STARS: Twelve Astounding Extraterrestrial Encounters
The film follows the Madame X window and pigeon-feeding account, with a tiny craft and two occupants. Other witnesses were not interviewed by the investigators. The chemical smell and swelling remain reported effects, without independently verified medical evidence. The dossier also preserves a later cultural or memory-influence interpretation; this was not a witness confession.
