Brandon, Mba being encounter — 1970

One spring evening in 1970, at about 10:30 p.m., a Brandon, Manitoba, man reportedly awoke on his living-room couch and saw two identical white humanoid figures outside the window. The account later appeared in John Brent Musgrave’s collection of Canadian occupant reports. The beings had dark, slanting eyes, and one held an object directed towards him. He said he could neither move nor breathe normally while the object was aimed at him. One figure turned its attention towards the kitchen, where his wife was baking and apparently noticed nothing unusual. When the device was lowered, the two figures walked away and the man regained movement. The narrative supplies neither an observed vehicle nor an explanation for how the figures reached the window. On the following night he lay on the couch facing away from the window and again experienced immobility and a sensation of being watched, but did not report seeing the figures a second time. That distinction matters: the second episode is not a second visual encounter. The case survives through retrospective catalogue summaries, without independently verified physical evidence. Sleep-related explanations have been proposed; neither those suggestions nor the original extraordinary interpretation establishes the cause.
