Case description
Three relatives reported unusual lights near Villalba de los Alcores, Valladolid, at about 1:30 a.m. on May 1, 1971. Ballester Olmos’s catalogue identifies them by initials: E. M., a 32-year-old Renault assembly worker, his 26-year-old brother S. M. and their 65-year-old farmer father A. M. They were driving out to collect snails.
After watching a light maneuver across a meadow, they feared another white light was approaching their car. They then judged it to be suspended beyond the road above a hill. It reportedly descended toward the roadside, revealing two small orange triangular lights and briefly a dark body behind the glare, before accelerating northeast. Later, while sheltering from rain, they watched a yellowish light above the car. The successive observations were described as silent.
The dark shape was the object’s body, not a described occupant. No being, conversation or boarding appears in this account. A separate May 2 return visit by S. M. should not be collapsed into the May 1 episode. The source cites the Charles Fort group’s investigation and LDLN 131. The plate combines the three relatives and roadside object; its exact silhouette and their likenesses are illustrative.
