Case description
Gaetan Paquin, described as a young man in his twenties, reported an apparition near his home at Notre-Dame-du-Nord around 11 p.m. on 12 or 13 July 1971. The Ferguson account preserved in HUMCAT and Rosales places him just arriving home when he noticed a completely white, human-shaped figure nearby. It was less than four feet tall and was seen mainly in profile.
Paquin described a pointed nose, slanted eyes, a small puckered mouth and no hair. He could discern nothing resembling clothing. Despite an overcast sky and an electrical outage, the form was unusually visible in the darkness. It appeared transparent, giving him the impression that a stone might pass through it. That was his visual impression, not a reported experiment: he did not establish transparency by throwing anything. Frightened, he fled.
The expanded source cites Jean Ferguson in UFO Québec number 9 and classifies this as an entity-only encounter. The Hatch catalogue additionally mentions a white object passing over the road, but the fuller account available here supplies neither a craft description nor a demonstrated connection. The illustration therefore depicts Paquin and the pale translucent figure, concealing the lower body rather than inventing anatomical detail, and flags the date and craft-source limits.
