Near Veteli, Finl being encounter — December 31, 1972

Two young females near Veteli reportedly encountered a tall dark form on the evening of 31 December 1972. The compact LDLN-derived account places them walking across a field around 7:30 p.m. A force or barrier around the form allegedly threw one of them backward nearly three metres. She was said to be unhurt. A much later expanded retelling names the women Rita and Circa and describes them as in their twenties, walking toward a New Year's gathering. It adds a flashing red light, a smaller approaching light and a passing car before the sudden displacement. The dark form appeared to hover, with a small egg-sized light above it. That version also describes silence, difficulty speaking, altered surroundings and a flight to a nearby farmhouse, after which the lights departed. The longer story differs from the short account in direction of travel, time and level of detail. Its additional experiential claims should remain attributed to that retelling rather than presented as measurements. A description of a force field is the witnesses' interpretation of a reported push; no field was instrumentally detected. No solid craft, face, clothing or proven cause is supplied. The plate shows two fully clothed young adults and the unharmed aftermath, retaining an indistinct dark form rather than inventing an alien anatomy.
