Reno, NV being encounter — October 28, 1973

A Reno woman reportedly went to her window in the early hours of October 28, 1973, and saw three very large saucer-shaped objects hovering across the street. Hatch supplies approximately 3 a.m. The fuller account describes a group of roughly ten to twelve figures on the ground beneath or near them. The figures wore dimly glowing, box-like or cube-type uniforms and moved about as though searching for something. A low humming sound was heard. The witness remarked on the absence of barking from her own dog and others nearby. When two figures approached her driveway, she became alarmed, returned to bed and reportedly fell asleep immediately. She did not describe an approach to the craft or direct communication with the figures. The account is traced through David Webb’s The Year of the Humanoids and HUMCAT, with Hatch also citing the NICAP UFO Investigator. Subsequent enquiries supplied no confirming reports from neighbours, and no physical trace was found.
