Rex Snow and his wife Theresa reportedly awoke to a brushing sound against their Goffstown home during November 1973. Webb and Fowler's fuller accounts place the incident around midnight on November 4; the imported ledger instead gives November 3 at 7:30 p.m. Snow said he saw two self-luminous figures in silver suits approximately sixty feet away in the backyard.
The figures were described as four-and-a-half to five feet tall, with oversized pointed ears, dark egg-shaped eye openings and large noses enclosed by the silver covering. Their silver boots had upturned toes. One carried a long flashlight-like object while the other gathered material from the ground into a silver bag. They moved slowly and deliberately. The family's guard dog reportedly approached, stopped short, and returned indoors whining.
Snow also reported a silver saucer about five hours earlier, but no vehicle was seen carrying the two figures during the backyard episode. The plate labels that earlier-craft/later-figures composite rather than implying a continuously witnessed landing. David Webb's survey and Raymond Fowler's investigation supply the detailed description. The objects collected were not recovered and identified independently, so 'sampling' describes the witnesses' interpretation of the activity, not a demonstrated extraterrestrial scientific mission.
Retain November 3 imported time versus after-midnight November 4 source version. Wife saw later glow, not specifically the figures; earlier saucer is distinct phase, and sampling is interpretation.
