Case description
An unnamed hunter reportedly saw a landed object near Albemarle, North Carolina, during daylight in November 1973. The imported record gives an approximate early-afternoon time. David Webb included the account in his survey of the 1973 humanoid reports, later issued by the Center for UFO Studies.
The hunter described an object resembling two inverted saucers, about fifteen to twenty feet across, silver with dark scratch-like marks. Two figures nearby appeared to collect samples from the ground. He remained concealed while they returned to the craft, then left before the object’s departure. When he subsequently revisited the location, the account says no traces were found.
The available summary supplies neither the hunter’s name nor a useful anatomical description of the figures. It should not be expanded into a specific alien type, a witnessed takeoff, or verified landing impressions. The illustration keeps the hunter behind cover and both collectors beside the small craft, using distant unresolved figures to preserve that limit.
