D94 Southwest / Sauvagny, FR being encounter — February 22, 1974

Jean-Michel Lartigaud and his wife Marie-Thérèse reportedly saw an unusual light near Sauvagny, Allier, at about 10:55 p.m. on February 22,1974. The fuller compiled account places them in their car on Route N 694 and attributes the report to Ouranos 11 and Jean Figuet. The imported summary compresses the scene into a vertical cylinder and moving black figures. The couple said that a roughly three-metre disc-shaped object lay about fifty metres to their right. A vertical column of light extended beneath it to a broad luminous circle on the ground, described as pinkish brown, while its upper portion shone white. Within the scene they noticed dark, arch-like or pipe-like shapes which gave an impression of living things. Marie-Thérèse became frightened, and they left. The light column should not automatically become a solid upright spacecraft, and the curved shapes are not resolved humanoid bodies. Facial details, limbs, figure count and a direct interaction are absent. No technical measurement establishes an electromagnetic or biological explanation. The plate keeps both witnesses in their car, the disc, its light column and ambiguous dark curves together; it does not turn those uncertain shapes into detailed aliens.
