Near Nogaro, Gers being encounter — March 1974

In 1977 an anonymous man, then about 25 and living in Toulouse, told La Dépêche du Midi about a roadside encounter three years earlier. He said that in March 1974, after visiting his fiancée at Laujuzan near Nogaro, he was driving back toward Fleurance at around three in the morning when his car stopped without his braking. He described a roughly 90-centimetre biped with very large feet, exceptionally long arms, pointed ears high on its head and very dark eyes. The figure was entirely green. Initially facing away, it moved into a ditch, leaving only its upper body visible. When it turned toward him he felt several wave-like sensations in his head. The engine later restarted, and he drove away. He explicitly reported no UFO or unusual light. The newspaper said it saw copies of subsequent medical examination results describing him as lucid but nervous; those results do not independently verify the encounter or its cause. The long reporting delay and anonymity limit investigation. The plate includes a representative driver, stopped car and small green figure at the ditch, with anatomy kept approximate and no borrowed Hopkinsville appearance or spacecraft.
