Casale Montferrato, It being encounter — April 16, 1974

Mauro Bellingeri, 26, and his wife Carla Faré were returning from an evening out around 00:50–01:00 on 16 April 1974 when they noticed a luminous object near their home at Santa Maria del Tempio, outside Casale Monferrato. In a reproduced CUN interview, Bellingeri says it stopped twelve or thirteen metres above their garden. They got out of the car and watched a circular, internally illuminated cabin surrounded by a separate rotating ring bearing red, green and yellow lights. The couple thought they saw three or four individuals inside. Bellingeri described large helmets, comparable with motorcycle helmets, and something muzzle-like at mouth level. The rear of the cabin was too dark to interpret clearly. These were obscured, apparently seated forms; their appearance did not establish tiny Greys or a particular biological anatomy. When the nearest helmet turned, Bellingeri reported several orange-yellow jets beneath the object. Carla ran indoors. The ring accelerated, a whistle and strong air movement developed, and he gripped the car's luggage rack as the object departed northeast. Bellingeri estimated the cabin at roughly ten metres across and two metres high. Carla separately thought she saw a tripod-like arrangement underneath; her husband did not. Other relatives heard noise but did not share the visual observation, and their dog reportedly stayed calm. Later catalogue notices mention windshield marks and official interest, but the recovered interview does not establish their cause. The plate depicts the initial stationary phase with the couple outside, leaving later departure effects as separate reported events.
