Case description
Barry King and Ian Vinten reported two episodes near Chingford on May 11, 1974. At about 8:45 p.m., they watched through binoculars from approximately half a mile away as a womanlike figure with long blond or white hair stood motionless in a black gown. Its face appeared featureless. Another black-gowned figure moved among nearby trees; the figures disappeared and one reappeared at a different position.
Returning around 9:35 p.m., the witnesses reportedly saw two figures dressed in white. One remained still while the other moved quickly without obvious leg motion, as though gliding. A red-lit aerial object then rose over the treetops, remained for several minutes and passed near overhead. The account describes alternating white and red lights, a bluish revolving light, and a pulsing sound likened to sonar.
The HUMCAT source chain attributes both reports to King's BUFORA submission. The two sets of figures should not be treated as four beings continuously observed together, or as demonstrably boarding a vehicle. The ledger's burnt-treetop claim lacks an independently identified botanical analysis here. The plate marks its combination of successive episodes and preserves the unresolved light display rather than inventing a detailed metal saucer.
