Case description
Santiago Pulido Romero reported an unusual object while driving to his father's farm near Medellín, Badajoz, Spain, before dawn on June 14, 1974. He described a pot-like or truncated-cone shape moving parallel to the road. According to the account, it approached when his headlights were on and receded when he switched them off.
At the farm, he said, the object hovered above the buildings, swayed slightly, and illuminated the surroundings. Through its upper transparent portion he reported seeing three tall helmeted figures. The observation was said to continue until sunrise, although sources differ between approximately 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. for its beginning.
Contemporary reporting in Pueblo and later Flying Saucer Review coverage form part of the source trail. NICAP's chronology also notes that the reported direction and disappearance could be compared with Venus. That alternative should accompany the encounter narrative without deciding the issue from an illustration. The plate depicts the farm-side observation rather than an established occupant identity.
