Jindabyne, Austr abduction report — September 27, 1974

On September 27, 1974, an eleven-year-old boy and an older companion were near Jindabyne, New South Wales, when they noticed a brilliant white light about half a mile away. Their initial observation was said to last about half an hour. Years later, in 1983, the younger participant began reporting vivid memories of the evening and believed that both had experienced roughly two hours of missing time. Accounts then emerged of being taken into an unusual setting and undergoing examinations. Mark Moravec published an investigation in the UFO Research Australia Newsletter and later in the MUFON UFO Journal. The taking and examination recollections emerged years after the original light observation.
