Case description
Four observers reportedly saw a saucer land in a park at Nantes at approximately 1:10 a.m. on 29 September 1974. The preserved abstract estimates its diameter at ten metres and its height at five metres. It also mentions a kerosene-like smell and three holes, each roughly seven centimetres across, found in association with the landing report. The witnesses are not named in the available entry.
Hatch’s source reference points to Lumières dans la Nuit and another abbreviated page citation. The stored text does not preserve a detailed approach, duration, departure, witness interview or description of how the holes were measured. A smell described as kerosene-like is a sensory comparison, rather than a chemical identification of fuel. Three small holes likewise do not by themselves establish a particular landing-gear arrangement.
The entry carries a robot-related code, but contains no accompanying robot or occupant description. That distinction matters: the code may flag omitted source material, yet cannot supply eyes, limbs, clothing or an observed exit from the object. The Atlas retains the report for source follow-up without inventing those details. Its illustration is limited to four anonymous observers and an interpreted saucer in contextual parkland; the original article and any trace photographs remain research targets.
